Well, 888 no longer works — that’s fine. 777 was still working yesterday when I took the screenshot. But obviously the spammer was never interested to read my article, which clearly stated that one should always seek to get at least $97 off.

However, the real reason I called the person “spammer” is how he does his business. First of all, he came via Technorati’s “dreamhost” tag, showing that he is actively seeking articles/blog posts that are related to DreamHost. Secondly, you can actually see his trace in other blogs — I have seen exactly the same comment elsewhere promoting his own discount code. Basically this guy is searching through recent blog entries all around the web and offer his own promo code, without even reading the actual article. Spammer?
