Personally I like my prebuild boxes by dell and apple, they just work and I have next business day warrenty. I don’t see that happen with a self made box. Usually you have to send back the parts to the shop you ordered so they can start RMA. For servers especially warrenties are super important, unless ofcourse you have a huge cluster with fault tolerance and fail over options but I don’t see that being the case for an average Joe.
