		<description>&lt;p&gt;If you are truly worried about availability you need 2 of everything in 2 completely different geographical areas. You pointed out one potential issue of many, that being a cut submarine cable, although these days with more and more cables all the time this is a form of redundancy in and of itself.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Other problems that can cause down time include backhoes near data centres, this has caused down time for me, a week or so ago there was major down time in a texas data centre when the battery banks blew up or what not. Then there is the more obvious problems with server hardware, issues with connectivity to/from the rack, someone connecting the active instead of grounding the rack so on and so forth.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As I said, the only way to perfect uptime is 2 of everything in completely different geographical areas, and even then murphy can still bite :)&lt;/p&gt;</description>
