I've been with unmeteredhostingworld.com for quite a while now, their server loads have been nice (0.05-0.10), they do not oversell at all.

I highly recommend them - 10/10

Cheers

GigaPros.com is one of the best non overselling web host.
There are just a handful of zero oversold hosting with great support.
The zero overselling policy at gigapros.com looks impressive.

I don't think overselling is always the problem the problem is over selling and not having the capacity to upgrade or transfer big users to more powerful or less utilized servers. There are many successful overselling webhosts and to be honest with you I think it's a necessity since most people shop on price alone.

I know that www.noblehosting.co.uk used to oversell when I hand a account with them, was thinking of rejoining and thought their new plans looked quite honest compared to some clearly overselling hosts.

There are definitely a few hosts out there that don't oversell, but it's hard. Most hosts crumble to the pressure of the competition. A good friend of mine, mentions that when you are searching for hosting, go for what you need. If you only need 50mb diskspace and 2gb bandwidth, get that, don't get 50GB and 2000GB for the same price. Good luck in the search!

If the overselling is done on something that can be added transparently for the user, there is no problem. what is wrong is when what is sold can't be delivered.

If disk space is oversold and the host is willing to add disk space to honor the advertized web space, it's all ok.

If they sell unlimited (or huge) monthly transfer but hide the fact that they cap the speed making the site sluggish then this is obviously wrong.

nobullshithosting.com offers hosting 100% free of over selling. Check them out... their site was undergoing some changes, but they're the real deal.

Most web host oversell at some point of time, this happens more for web host who sell GB's of web space and bandwidth for less than $10 per month.

Some really great questions to think about, especially how to verify. I believe that ClookHost is a non-overselling host.
